During intermission of All Childish Things last night at The Know Theatre, my husband Steve and I mused upon the numerous free events - including the very one we were currently enjoying* - in our city.
"You know, we could probably do something free every day of the year," I said.
"True," he replied, "but I don't want to go out every night. That's too much work!"
I agreed. "What about once a week then? Surely we could do one free event per week. Hell, the CCM has something free going on pretty much every night."
"If only we knew someone who could hook us up with a calendar of free events," my husband laughed.
"Hmmm..." I grinned, tapping my chin thoughtfully with my finger, "if only."
This is my job. I am part of the data team for cincinnati.com, which also provides calendar content for the Cincinnati Regional Tourism Network. Specifically, I am the calendar listings content specialist. If anyone can find free stuff to do in Cincinnati, it's me.
So we have given ourselves a challenge for 2016: Attend a free event in Cincinnati every week for the entire year.
We hope you will join us in our quest to have fun and be entertained on the cheap.
